2019 Triumph Street Scrambler
Only two years since it was first introduced Triumph have given their 900cc Triumph Street Scrambler a thorough revamp for the 2019 model year.
The headline changes in the motivation department are an 18 per cent boost in peak power that brings the Street Scrambler up to 64hp which now arrives at a higher 7500 rpm. Peak torque of 80 Nm comes at a relatively low 3200 rpm.
Still dubbed the 900 HT, for High Torque, the engine now scores a magnesium cam cover along with a lighter crank.
New riding modes make an appearance along with ride-by-wire while service intervals remain 16,000 km.
The stoppers have been upgraded too with the single disc front now graced by a Brembo four-piston caliper. The ABS is switchable as is the traction control system.
On the suspension side of the equation a move to cartridges in the front forks is a significant up-spec while the 120mm of travel is perhaps a little less than might be expected from a bike with ‘Scrambler’ as its moniker. The fork legs are spaced wider to deliver a tougher appearance from the front.
KYB also supply the preload adjustable twin shocks. Piggyback Fox shocks are an optional extra.
Metzeler Tourance rubber graces the spoked 19″ front and 17″ rear rims.
The styling of the instruments has been updated while new side panels feature a more contemporary new logo.
The seat is finished in more of an adventure style in a combination of leather and textile finishes.
Over 120 accessories allows for various personalisation options for customers while the 2019 Street Scrambler arrives in three colours; White or Red along with a combination of Khaki Green and Matt Aluminium.
Luggage options include a waxed cotton soft pannier or larger and more rugged adventure style pannier.
