  • 1459 - Dan Stauffer getting a drop of fuel in pitlane. Andrews returns to the pits on the Kawasaki and seemes to be adjusting his peg position
  • 1458 - Andrews just dropped his time further to 57.12. Remember these guys are on unfamiliar bikes that in some ways more stock than Superstock and all running on Pirelli tyres...
  • 1457 - Johnson rolling out again now with Rea right behind him... Shannon even turned around and tapped his tailpiece....  Now I have known Shannon a long time to know that he is an extremely wily fox... If he decides to tow Rea around it will only be to show him the WRONG line rather than the right time...  MEOW SQUEAK :-)
  • 1454 - Johnson came back into the pits again. Rea behind him and this time actually even stopped a few metres behind him in pitlane rather in what has been his customary resting point in pitlane much further back... Meow....
  • 1453 - McWilliams the first man of the top few to go quicker than this morning, lowering his mark to 57.01. Seeley, Andrews, Keevers, Stronach and Stauffer also already faster than they managed this morning
  • 1451 - Rea followed Johnson back into the pits... Johnson just stopped at his crew then took off again, Rea did the same... A game of cat and mouse this...
  • 1450 - Johnson just circulating very slowly... Coming back into the pits now.... Obviously not keen on giving Rea a tow around the circuit and giving away any track knowledge...
  • 1449 - Seeley heading out again now. Andrews in the pits. Ian Lowry heading back out now
  • 1448 - Tyre warmers of the KTM now and Johnson rolling out of pitlane. Rea quickly drops his visor and heads out behind the Victorian....
  • 1447 - McWilliams just left pitlane for some more track time. Alastair Seeley came into the pits and is talking with his crew. Rea also in the pits now
  • 1446 - Shannon looks content to leave things there for the time being and his crew have put the tyre warmers on the RC8R
  • 1444 - That 56.87 came on Rea's first flying lap of the session. Johnson's 56.68 came on his fourth lap. Johnson is in the pits now. Rea is stringing some laps together, just put in a 57.05 on his sixth lap
  • 1443 - Johnson to the top of the charts now with a 56.68, Rea's quickest still that early 56.87. McWilliams is looking much stronger in this session after dialling in the KTM throughout the weekend. The ex GP winner down to 57.01. Andrews next on 57.21 followed by Pitt on 57.32
  • 1442 - Shannon Johnson has dominated all sessions thus far on the KTM RC8R. The Victorian has been preparing for this event and actually tested here a couple of weeks ago and are very serious in taking the title for KTM in what is their Australian home. The Australian KTM distributor is based out of Western Australia
  • 1441 - All the bikes the internationals are riding this weekend have stock engines and are basically a very soft Superstock specification as prepared by the club. Most of the top locals are in a similar position with limited testing and of course the internationals also had to learn the track yesterday to get up to speed.
  • 1440 - They are straight into it here at Wanneroo in the final qualifying session for the 2009 Kings of Wanneroo. Shannon Johnson straight down to 57.55 only for Jonathan Rea to go through with a 56.87 to underline his aspirations for pole position. 20 minutes to run in this 25 minute session
  • 1435 - Riders forming up on the dummy grid in readiness for final qualifying here at the Kings of Wanneroo...
