Glenn Scott will make the switch to the growingly popular Australasian Superbike Championship in 2014, contesting both the Superbike and Formula Oz categories on a new Honda CBR1000RR SP Fireblade, with major sponsor, InsureMyRide returning to support the 2013 Australian Superbike Privateer Champion.
With the increasing opportunities for exposure and competitive track time, Glenn has transferred to the Australasian Superbike Championship, joining many of the nation’s elite riders in switching to the six round Championship that will visit track’s across the eastern seaboard aswell as South Australia’s, Mallala Motorsport Park.
“I’m massively excited for the 2014 race season; I believe the move across to the Australasian Superbike Championship is a positive step forward for me, my team and sponsors.”
“Terry O’Neill has formed a very strong and reliable Championship that gains maximum exposure for all competitors and has given the sport some light at the end of the tunnel,” Scott said.
“I’m so lucky to have amazing support from InsureMyRide and Honda again this year. With their help it has given me the opportunity to be on the grid again this year and be competitive. My main focus is the premier class, Superbikes but I’m excited to have the opportunity to run in Formula Oz also. I’ve been training very hard with Stephen Mion from Fitmoto and I feel I will be in great physical shape to tackle two categories. ,” Scott added.
Luke Smith, Business Development Manager of InsureMyRide was excited to again partner with Glenn in his new journey into the Australasian Superbike Championship. Following his privateer success in 2013, Smith believes the team have what it takes to again return to the top.

Terry O’Neill, Managing Director of Australian Road & Track Rider Promotions Pty Ltd who are the promoters of the Australasian Superbike Championship is excited as to what Glenn will add to the growing list of top riders joining the series.

Team InsureMyRide Racing kick started their year yesterday at Wakefield Park at the official test day of the Australasian Superbike Championship.
“It was fantastic to turn some laps around Wakefield Park yesterday in preparation for round one. My Honda FireBlade was working really well. I exceeded my expectations by setting a fast consistent lap times within one second of the current lap record. It was very positive for myself and the team after working so hard to get bikes built and on track before round one,” Scott concluded.
Round one of the 2014 Australasian Superbike Championship takes place at Wakefield Park, NSW from March 14-16.
