2015 Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show
30 October – 1 November, Claremont Showgrounds
The 2015 Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show, presented by Shannons Insurance, will explode into Claremont Showgrounds in November, bringing the people of Perth a mind-blowing motorcycle extravaganza!
The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show is held every two years and attracts around 20,000 people across the three days.
In 2013, the event celebrated 20 years and moved to the new venue of Claremont Showgrounds, and Show Director Peter Woods said the new venue proved extremely successful.
“Claremont Showgounds is a great place to hold the Show as it offers ample room indoors for displays, and space outdoors for entertainment.”
“The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show has always been a popular event. It is an avenue for exhibitors to showcase their new release bikes and latest products; and the live stage show means visitors get an up close and personal look at new products that are brought on stage to be reviewed,” Peter said.
“In 2015, the event will be an exciting event for the whole family, with huge outdoor and indoor entertainment areas set up for stunts, jumps, races and more!”
“The entertainment will be continuous over the three day event, and will include freestyle motocross demos, stunt riders from Stuntz Inc including the legendary Matt Mingay, moto trials demos, dedicated track set up to “come try riding”, junior motocross track, and much more.”
“There will be custom, vintage and vintage bike displays and Show & Shine competition; plus the live stage show with new release products, reviews, fashion parades and special guests,” Peter said.
The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show will host a charity ride on the Saturday morning, which will take place though Perth’s northern suburbs and will finish at Claremont Showgrounds so that participants can then head to the Show. The Charity Ride will support YouthFocus, a West Australian charity that helps youth dealing with suicide and other mental health issues.
In 2013, the Charity Ride featured Mick Doohan, and was had more than 1500 bikes participating, and raised almost $20,000 for YouthFocus. The 2015 celebrity guest will be announced soon.
The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show is proud to be associated with the motorcycle community in Western Australia. Through the Motorcycling Australia WA (MAWA) the Show is able to promote the various motorcycle clubs in WA.
The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show promotes Motorcycle Awareness Week. The Office of Road Safety has a presence at the Show, with displays and information to promote safe riding.
The Perth Motorcycle and Scooter Show runs from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st November 2015, and Peter said he was extremely pleased to announce that Shannons Insurance had come onboard as the Show’s major sponsor this year.
“We have always had an excellent working relationship with Shannons and appreciate all the support they have given the Show in the past,” he said.
“We look forward to working with Shannons on the 2015 Show and know their involvement will bring a lot of value to the Show.”
