2015 ASBK Supp Regs – By Trevor Hedge
Today Motorcycling Australia has released Supplementary Regulations for the 2015 ASBK Championship.
The qualifying format for Superbike will include two regulation qualifying sessions, followed by a Saturday Superpole shootout.
With only two Superbike races listed per round, one would presume the Superbike race lengths would be much longer than what has been seen in recent years, however the supplementary regulations published today include the normal disclaimer that the ‘final formats and race distances will be provided in the final instructions’.
Likewise, the actual event schedules for each round will be contained in the final instructions.
Supersport is also listed for two qualifying sessions and two races.
The Moto3/125GP, Production and Club Challenge are also listed for two qualifying sessions and while the Moto3/125GP and Production categories are schedule for three races each, the Club Challenge races are listed as TBC.
Garage fees have been set at $330 for a full garage, or $165 for half garage with the half garage catering for up to two motorcycles only.
There is no control tyre set down for 2015, however only homologated tyres will be allowed. Â M.A will list the approved homologated tyre lists before each round.
The allowance of four sets of tyres for Superbike, three sets for Supersport, two sets for Moto3/125GP and 250/300 Production is an increase in the tyre allowances seen in recent years.
Prize Money is yet to be listed.
