Benelli 500cc twin LAMS machine
$8990Â ride-away
Benelli has re-invented one of the Pesaro firm’s most beloved past motorcycles, the Leoncino, featuring Italian design from CentroStile, with sharp forms with harmonious lines and a 500c twin-cylinder engine, ABS and 815mm seat height.
From the front fender, which displays the Lion of Pesaro, on to the new front headlamp featuring LED technology, to the fuel tank and seat, all flowing and emphasising the personality of this all-new Leoncino.
A Benelli trademark, the steel trellis frame houses an all new powerplant from Pesaro; twin-cylinder four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 500cc made by Benelli. This all new engine is smooth and responsive, with 48hp (35kW) at 8500rpm and offers a maximum torque of 45Nm.
Also featured is the latest electronic injection, incorporating a double overhead camshaft timing system, four valves per cylinder, hydraulic clutch and a six-speed gearbox.
The front suspension features an upside down 50mm fork, mated to four-piston brake calipers gripping 320mm discs. At the rear, the swingarm’s movement is controlled by a laterally mounted shock absorber and braking is handled by a 260mm disc with a dual-piston caliper. The 17in rims shod with Pirelli Angel tyres which guarantee stability and sporty performance in any condition.
The 2018 Benelli Leoncino is available for $8990 RRP ride-away, with Benelli boasting ‘Award Winning Italian Design’, a powerful (restricted) 500cc parallel twin engine, Bosch ABS as standard, Learner Approved – LAMS and a friendly low 815mm seat height.
