2018 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin donated by Honda
The 18th annual Honda Snowy Ride is fast approaching and those who register for the ride automatically go in the draw to win a 2018 Honda Africa Twin.
Held on Saturday November 3, the Snowy Ride is an event run by the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation (SWCCF) in the Snowy Mountain region of New South Wales.
Each year the SWCCF raises funds for research into a cure for childhood cancer. The ride has played a pivotal role in raising more than $7 million to fund research, since it all began in 2001.

“Every year we are blown away by the amazing crew of motorcyclists who come and take part in the Snowy Ride and help us fundraise for a cure. My son Steve passed away aged 19 and it was his passion for riding motorcycles that drove us to create this event. Our aim is for the Snowy Ride to involve the motorcycle riders of Australia to raise money for research into childhood cancer and its side effects, all while enjoying a fantastic weekend of riding some of the most scenic parts of NSW.”
Honda have proudly provided a CRF1000L Africa Twin as the prize on offer to those who register for the ride.

“To win all you need to do is register and pay the $60 entry fee and you are automatically in the draw. The best part is that if you can’t make it to the ride, by entering you still go into the draw for the bike anyway and you are supporting our fundraising efforts at the same time. Pillions that register will also go into the draw for the Honda. We thank our loyal riders who keep coming back each year and make it such a great event. We’re challenging Snowy Riders to bring a friend who hasn’t been before to show them what it’s all about.”
Honda attend each year and provide a fleet of the newest model motorcycles for attendees to test out over the Friday and Saturday of the event. The new CRF450L will be available to try as well as the new Africa Twin Adventure Sports..
Honda are also selling special edition Honda beanies where proceeds go directly to the SWCCF to further support research for a cure. The goal is to achieve a 100% survival rate.
