Thor MX1 Moto One

Kyle Webster lived up to his Sandgroper roots to dominate with pole followed by a dominant victory in the opening moto at Gillman.

Webster took the chequered flag seven-seconds ahead of Yamaha’s Aaron Tanti with Kirk Gibbs rounding out the podium ahead of Jed Beaton and Max Purvies.

Seasoned veteran and Aussie MX legend Brett Metcalfe was sixth in front of his home crowd to best championship leader Dean Ferris.

Webster again fired the first shot with the holeshot, leading for some time before Clout emerged to catch and pass the Honda man. In the background, Tanti and Beaton were working their way forwards. Dean Ferris experienced a fall early in the moto and had his work cut out for him.

The skies then opened up with 10 minutes to go, providing a staggering downpour on the Gillman circuit. Goggles were tossed, front wheels washed, and passes were made as Webster eventually took the top spot back to secure a perfect 1-1.

Webster’s 1-1 put him on top in Gillman, followed by Tanti and Beaton for the overall.

The championship standings have tightened up as points leader Ferris could muster only ninth overall on a difficult day. Jed Beaton has reclaimed the red plate by a single point.

Pirelli MX2 Moto One

Wilson Todd blitzed the field during qualifying but Nathan Crawford ran him close in the opening moto, taking the chequred flag less than half-a-second behind the championship leader.

Noah Ferguson claimed the final step on the rostrum ahead of Rhys Budd and Jesse Dobson.

The battle for victory was not as tight in the second bout as Wilson Todd ran away to dominant victory which extended his championship lead over second placed Nathan Crawford to 37-points.

Noah Ferguson completed the round podium ahead of Brodie Connolly but it is Connolly that holds down third place in the championship chase.

Maxxis MX3 Moto One

MAXXIS MX3 Championship leader Byron Dennis (GASGAS) put together a strong 1-2 moto scorecard in Gillman as he proved too strong for the competition, extending his points lead to 22 in this year’s series.

Yamaha’s Jake Cannon emerged as a race winner in the MX3 class as he took home the moto two win, with his third place in the opening moto securing P2 overall on the day.

Yamaha’s Kayd Kingsford rounded out the round podium in third place, with Jack Mather (Raceline Husqvarna Berry Sweet Racing) and Seth Burchell (Yamaha) in fifth.

Dennis now leads the standings with 186 points, followed by Mather with 164, and Cannon on 141.

EziLift MXW Moto One

Defending champion Charli Cannon demonstrated why she wears the number one aboard her Yamalube Yamaha Racing YZ250F after securing a dual moto victory in South Australia.

Cannon achieved a staggering 18-second margin in the second moto, adding to her year of dominance as she’s yet to be beaten domestically.

Honda’s Emma Milesevic secured 2-2 on the day and second overall, while team-mate Tahlia O’Hare posted a 3-3 ride for third place.

Cannon sits atop the leaderboard with a perfect 75 points, followed by Milesevic in second with 64, and Madison Brown (Honda) in third position with 54.
