40th anniversary Goldwing hits Australian shores
To celebrate four decades of the unique and enduring appeal of the Honda Goldwing, Honda are releasing a 40th Anniversary model in Australia.
Due for release late March, the special-edition Goldwing comes in a stunning two-tone paintwork with blacked out wheels, forks, swingarm and muffler plus the 40th Anniversary badging to mark this special release.
Whilst the Goldwing has continually evolved since its release in 1975, it has retained its outstanding reputation for a unique two-wheel experience.
Whether it’s the turbine-like torque, handling poise at any speed, carrying capacity or comfort that the rider enjoys most, all agree there is no other motorcycle on the market quite like the Honda Goldwing.
Honda’s dedication to superior engineering shines through on the Goldwing, with innovative design and a build quality that is second to none. The pursuit of perfection is evident not only in the finish of each machine, but how well the Goldwing runs. Riders recognise the difference on their first ride and continue to experience it.
The Goldwing has set the golden standard in the motorcycle industry for four decades and the latest anniversary model continues the trend with a Manufacturer’s List Price of $36,299*.
The Goldwing’s fuel-injected, horizontally opposed six-cylinder 1832cc engine is as much a part of the Goldwing legend as the name or the sales success. Both exceptionally smooth and incredibly powerful, the “flat” six-cylinder design offers a lower centre of gravity for an improved ride and a lighter handling feel.
The 2015 model adopts the latest technology from Honda, including SRS CS Auto 6-speaker 80W surround-sound system, Honda Navigation System, Heated seats and Handlebars as well as a Foot-warming system.
The 150 litre luggage capacity makes the Goldwing the perfect long distance ally. The shape of the machine, sculpted by CFD (Computational Flow Dynamics), actively contributes to aerodynamic stability and reduces buffeting for rider and pillion.
The seat is one of the most important features of a touring motorcycle and the Goldwing has always excelled when it comes to day-long comfort. The shape of the seat wraps around the passenger, creating the sensation of complete comfort and security.
Underneath is a twin-spar aluminium beam frame which holds the engine as a stressed member, improving its already outstanding levels of rigidity, while the design’s low weight and optimised weight distribution make it a joy to ride at any speed.
The Goldwing also utilises Honda’s Dual Combined ABS system, delivering balanced braking between a pair of 296mm discs and three-piston callipers at the front, and a ventilated 316mm disc and three-piston calliper at the rear.
And of course, central to the 2015 model is the distinctive 40th Anniversary badging located on the front face cowl, rear trunk lid, above the glove box as well as an embossed passenger seat and anniversary keys.

40th Anniversary Honda Grows Wings with revised F6B
Celebrating four decades since the Honda Goldwing first made tracks, Honda has announced it is releasing a new F6B model as part of the 40th Anniversary range.
The special-edition motorcycle comes in two colour options, plus special 40th Anniversary badges and key, and is set for release late March with a Manufacturer’s List Price of $25,199*.
Introduced to the Goldwing family in 2013, the F6B inherited the model’s outstanding reputation for a unique two-wheel experience.
The 2015 F6B goes a step further, adopting the latest technology from Honda, including electronic reverse gear and cruise control, while maintaining the same low price tag. The slow-speed reversing system is engaged with a simple push of the thumb control on the handlebars, while the lightweight cruise control system utilises a 16-bit ECU-based, motor-actuated throttle mechanism.
A stunning reincarnation of the world’s greatest touring motorcycle, the new F6B is lighter, trimmer and leaner while still offering plenty of storage capacity and performance, along with many of the Goldwing’s comfort and luxury features.
During its development, the aim for the Goldwing F6B was to produce a nimble-feeling, agile bike that would not only be comfortable to use on city streets but fun on winding roads and of course perform on the open highway. The F6B offers an unbeatable combination of cool credibility and useful practicality.
It’s the style of the Goldwing F6B that initially grabs attention; minus the rear top box and with its shorter screen, the long, low touring machine flows fluidly from front to rear.
Honda’s dedication to superior engineering shines through in the Goldwing family, with innovative design and a build quality that is second to none. The pursuit of perfection is evident not only in the finish of each machine, but how well the motorcycles run, and for how long.

The 2015 F6B comes in Matt Bullet Silver and Atmosphere Blue Metallic colour options and of course, central to the 2015 model, is the distinctive 40th Anniversary badging and key.
