Jack Miller visits EICMA 2015
Australian rookie Jack Miller took time out from his winter training programme to attend the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, where he paid a visit to many of the LCR Honda Team sponsors’ stands.
He offered personal thanks to his supporters for what was an impressive debut year in the MotoGP World Championship, having made the jump from the junior Moto3 series into the premier class. The Queensland youngster finished the season third in the Open rider classification, as well as being top Open Honda, and considering the quality of the riders he was battling against it proves he made a successful adaptation to the 1000cc prototypes.
Jack Miller #43 – “It’s the first time I’ve ever been to EICMA in Milan, and I really enjoyed myself. It’s a great show, absolutely massive in fact, and it was good to see all the new bikes. I just wanted to come over to Italy to say a big thank you to all of LCR Honda’s sponsors that supported me so well in my rookie year in MotoGP. They believed in my skills and gave me the best support I could ask for.”
“I have felt part of the LCR family since day one, and am grateful of the opportunity I have had to work with good people and enjoy a positive first year at the top level.”
Lucio Cecchinello (LCR Team Principal) – “It was always going to be a big step for Jack to move straight from Moto3 into the MotoGP class, but I think his performances this year have proved just what a huge talent he is. He finished as top Open rider early in the season in Argentina, and then again at his home race in Australia, and often during practice he was finishing sessions as top Open bike, which I believe shows his real capabilities.”
“We are proud to have had Jack in the LCR family this season and we wish him all the very best in his 2016 campaign.”
“The LCR Honda Team would also like take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, including those participating at ECIMA (GIVI, Unibat, Rizoma, Castrol, PBR, Progrip), not to mention many others who have offered great support throughout this season. We look forward to working with them all again in 2016 with Cal Crutchlow on board the factory Honda bike.”
