2016 Suzuki DR-Z70 arrives in time for Christmas
The 2016 model of Suzuki’s popular junior dirt bike, the DR-Z70 is now on sale in Australia.
Made in Japan and designed specifically for young riders, the Suzuki DR-Z70 is a little bike with a big heart, featuring a 70cc engine with 10-inch wheels and is the perfect tool for youngsters learning the fundamentals of riding or developing their skills.
Between now and January 31, every DR-Z70 purchased will come with a BONUS Factory graphics kit making sure your child will be the envy of all others at the track. Â
The whisper quiet, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine delivers plenty of torque to leave the competition in its dust. With more displacement than its class rivals, the DR-Z70’s automatic-clutch equipped engine provides impressive performance from a smooth, controllable powerband.
An electric starter and handlebar start button means the DR-Z70 is also simple to get going. Alternatively, riders can kick start the DR-Z70, power can be controlled to suit riders experience via the adjustable throttle limiter and there’s the security of a keyed ignition to provide maximum parent control.
With a steel frame, the durable DR-Z70 is the lightest of its starter-motor equipped class rivals, weighing just 55kg ready to ride.
Delivering a fun and controllable ride, the Suzuki has inverted telescopic front forks with 97mm of wheel travel and a linkless rear swingarm, while the 10-inch tyres offer great traction.
With updated styling inspired by its bigger brothers – the championship winning RM-Z250 and RM-Z450 – the DR-Z70 has a race-style look that stands out from the crowd and is available in an aggressive Champion Yellow / Black livery. Â
The Suzuki DR-Z70 is now available for a recommended price of $2,390*, and is backed by Suzuki’s 6 month warranty.

Editor’s Note: For god’s sake don’t buy some cheap Chinese heap of crap that will cause endless problems, buy something like this or from any of the big four Japanese brands and if given even the most basic of maintenance it will likely survive your kids handing it on to their kids.
