Ben Currie signs with Gearlink Kawasaki Team
Australian Ben Currie to compete 2017 BSB season in the Gearlink Kawasaki Supersport Team on a ZX-6R
Gearlink Kawasaki is very pleased to announce some of their plans for the 2017 season. They will run two Kawasaki ZX-6Rs in the Dickies British Supersport Championship with Australian Ben Currie and Ulsterman Andrew Irwin.
Gearlink Kawasaki has always been heavily involved in bringing new young riders through the ranks and once again will field two young promising riders next season. The team secured nine podiums throughout the 2016 season with their riders and will be aiming for more next year.
21-year-old Ben Currie will return to the Dickies Supersport Championship next year. He finished eighth overall in 2016, winning two races. He will be striving to achieve more in 2017 with the Gearlink Kawasaki team.

“I’m really excited to start my new journey with the Gearlink Kawasaki team in a bid to win the 2017 Dickies British Supersport Championship. I would like to say a huge thank you to Michael and Norma for giving me this opportunity and being so welcoming towards me. It will be a new challenge for me but one I am certainly looking forward to. I hope to get up to speed on the Kawasaki quickly and put that into the races. Roll on testing and round one!”
Fellow 21-year-old, Andrew Irwin joined the Gearlink Kawasaki team mid-way through the season and in the final four races of the season was consistently scoring strong points. He looks forward to the 2017 Dickies British Supersport series.
