Ben Burke remains with the BCperformance A1 Motorcycles team to contest the 2014 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship (ASC) alongside Joel Hughes and Patrick Li, who will line up in the Supersport category, all on Kawasaki machinery. Commercial property fit-out specialists Iceberg Enterprises join the team as a major sponsor.
The BCperformance A1 Motorcycles race team are pleased to announce that Ben Burke will remain with the team after joining midway through 2013. Burke enjoyed instant success on the BCperformance Kawasaki ZX-10R with a stunning 2nd place on his debut and carried on his form for the remainder of the season in both the FX-Superbike and ASBK series. Joel Hughes and Patrick Li both move to the Supersport category on a pair of BCperformance Kawasaki ZX-6R’s, while a plan to field a rider in the Ninja 300 cup is well under way.

As well as contesting the ASC series, the BCperformance A1 Motorcycles team will also be on the grid at the Phillip Island Championship starting at the WSBK weekend of 21st-23rd February
Burke, who finished runner up in the 2012 British Superstock 600 Championship is happy to be staying put “I was really impressed with the package that the team was able to deliver, for such a young team it is a credit that they have put in such an effort to be professional and produce race winning bikes” a beaming Burke adds “I am looking forward to joining the team soon for our first test and race in what is going to be a very competitive Superbike class”.
Joel Hughes was also happy to be returning to the team for 2014 “I am really looking forward to jumping back on a 600 again as I haven’t ridden one for a few years now. I know it won’t be easy but I am determined to work hard to master the 600. Very happy to be a part of BCperformance again this year, professional friendly atmosphere, the team just gels. With the help and support from BCperformance we will make it a ripper year”
