2018 Honda Forza NSS300 gains traction control
$7999 RRP + ORC
Honda’s NSS300 Forza scooter has been updated for 2018 with a host of new features, including the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) – a first in a Honda scooter! This is Honda’s acronym for their own traction control system.
The Forza 300 is a premium offering in Honda’s scooter line up and now comes with a fresher new look after a diet program saw the machine drop 8kg in weight from its refined chassis.
A new electrically adustable screen provides wind protection at speed and can be adjusted down for the wind in your face around town.
The liquid-cooled fuel-injected SOHC four-valve engine is tuned to deliver an entertaining ride at all rpm plus great fuel economy.
The HSTC can be switched on and off from the left handlebar and detects any difference between the front and rear wheel speeds, calculates the slip ratio and then controls engine torque via the fuel injection to regain rear wheel traction. The addition of two-channel ABS offers additional braking control on slippery surfaces while the rear rim has grown in size for more stability.
Two full-face helmets can be stored under the seat and the front left inner fairing pocket is lockable and houses a 12V charging socket. Revised instruments serve up extra information digitally, in support of the analogue dials and all lighting is LED.
To make daily life on board the Forza that little bit more convenient it’s now fitted with the Honda Smart Key system. The Smart Key resides in the rider’s pocket and does away with the need to constantly insert and withdraw a key for ignition, fuel cap and seat.
