Spaniard Xavi Fores set the IDM alight at Oschersleben on the weekend with a pair of victories and a new lap record onboard a Ducati Panigale at Oschersleben for the third round of the IDM Superbike series.
Xavi Forés quickly built a comfortable lead ahead of the competition in both races, undercutting ihis previously established personal bests several times. The Spaniard’s broke the course record in the Superbike class down to 1:25,303 min. Behind him, his teammate Max Neukirchner and BMW S 1000 RR opponents Markus Reiterberger fought (Vanzon Remeha BMW) for the remaining placed on the rostrum.  In the first race Neukirchner had his nose in front in the second Reiterberger.
Matej Smrz (Yamaha Motor Germany) presented his endurance qualities for a pair of fourth place finishes after getting the better of rivals, including Damian Cudlin (Kawasaki Racing Team Weber servant) who raced to a pair of seventh place finishes. Michael Ranseder (Holzhauer Racing Promotion) took a fifth and sixth place finish on a Honda Fireblade.
Xavi Forés: “This was a perfect weekend for me and I had to work hard before I had found the right setup for the bike.”
Superstock 1000
With two more victories in the Superstock 1000 category Marco Nekvasil (Interwetten Racing by Fritze tuning) moved ahead in the series. In the first race he led from start to finish. In the second race it seemed Lucy Glöckner (Wilbers BMW Racing Team) was going to knock the men off the rostrum like she did three weeks ago in Zolder – the first woman with two victories in the International German Championship, but in the seventh round Nekvasil was on point and got the better of her.
The podium after the second run looked exactly like the first. At the top stood Nekvasil, on one side next to Glockner, on the other Kawasaki rider Alex Phillis (Weber-servant Racing Team).
Supersport 600
In the Supersport 600 class Yamaha rider Marvin Fritz (Bayer BIKERBOX Racing) from the Baden-Württemberg Gundelsheim triumphed in both races. The Swiss Roman Stamm (Kawasaki Snug team Shell Advance) had led the race long and Fritz left for only two laps to go first, before he again took over the reins. Three laps before the scheduled end of the race was prematurely terminated due to the onset of rain with the red flag. Strain led to this point before Fritz and Pepin Bijsterbosch from the Netherlands, Stefan Kerschbaumer from Austria and Tatu Lausletho from Finland. But since the previous round came in the standings, Fritz was declared the winner.
Sidecar
For Kurt Hock and passenger Enrico Becker (LCR Suzuki) ended the SUPERBIKE * DM weekend in Oschersleben with the second victory in the sidecar class, while the defending champion André Kretzer / Jens Lehnertz on Sunday rather wanted to forget, because they separated prematurely and rolled in the box, as an engine failure offing. The German-Austrian combination Josef Sattler / Stefan Trautner (LCR Suzuki) thus inherited the second place. Third was  the pair of guests Bennie spreader / Geert Koerts from the Netherlands.
Fans were able to meet their idols from the racetrack again close the pit walk during the lunch break. The driver met a lot of autographs. Visitors who Fortuna was allowed to hold, experience as a rider on a solo motorcycle or in a sidecar team an unforgettable lap on the race track.
