Ducati announce 1299 Panigale pricing

Ducati Australia today announced the recommended retail pricing for the new 1299 Panigale line-up expected to arrive on our shores at the beginning of May.

The 1299 Panigale line-up is priced as follows

1299 Panigale $27,990*
1299 Panigale S $34,990*

This RRP represents a $1,000 increase over the out-going 1199 Panigale, however when considering the new levels of both performance and technology the 1299 Panigale represents amazing value.

With an unprecedented 116mm bore, the 1285cc Superquadro engine delivers an incredible 144.6Nm of torque and 205hp of booming v-twin thunder.

With a dry weight of just 166.5kg, the innovative monocoque chassis now has a steering head angle of 24º to guarantee improved turn-in and increased agility when cornering, while the swingarm pivot is 4mm lower improving rear grip.

State-of-the-art electronics ensure maximum performance and safety including the Bosch Inertial Platform for cornering ABS and DTC, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Quick Shift – Up / Down (DQS), full RbW with both Riding and Power modes.

The S version also features semi-active suspension and electronic steering damper controlled by the Öhlins Smart EC system.

2015 Ducati 1299 Panigale S produces 10 per cent more torque than the 1199 and 10 more horsepower.

The new electronic package, specifically designed for the 1299 Panigale and incorporated in the three different Riding Modes, boosts performance even higher. Thanks to the presence of the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), riders can count on Cornering ABS, along with Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and, on the S version, the Öhlins Smart EC, an event-based suspension control system. Moreover, the 1299 Panigale features, for the first time on a road-legal Ducati Superbike, the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), now usable for down-changing too: this sharpens track performance even further while making the bike easier to use on a daily basis. On the 1299 Panigale, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) are all optimised thanks to an automatic tyre size and final drive ratio calibration system.
