After a stunning double podium at Oschersleben, both officially supported Yamaha teams look forward to racing at Circuit Paul Ricard and aim to underline Yamaha’s 60 year racing milestone with the first endurance victory at this prestigious event since 2007.
GMT94 Yamaha’s David Checa, Kenny Foray, Mathieu Gines and Monster Energy Yamaha Austria Racing Team’s Broc Parkes, Iván Silva, Sheridan Morais, and Max Neukirchner will make their first appearance in the 60 year anniversary colours on Thursday the 17th of September during the first practice session ahead of this weekend’s 24-hour race that start on Saturday the 19th. The press will have a chance to see the yellow-and-black livery of GMT94 Yamaha and Monster Energy Yamaha Austria Racing Team YZF-R1s from up close during a special event that will take place inside GMT94 Yamaha’s pit box (no. 14) on Friday at 9AM. Their yellow bikes will be in good company at the Yamaha exhibition as racing legend Kenny Roberts’s Yamaha OW60 will also be on display, as well as a new Supersport range extension.
