Wagner all set to make his mark on the world stage
Aiden Wagner declines Team Honda Superbike ride to take on World Supersport
Aiden Wagner has accepted a World Supersport Championship ride with Team Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres for the remainder of the season.
Aiden will head to Europe this Sunday and will start practice on Friday for the Imola round of World SuperSport Championship.
Wagner was in two minds about heading overseas after being offered a ride with Team Honda Racing in Australia for the remainder of the Australasian FX Superbike Championship.
Aiden said: “It was a difficult decision to go overseas with such an attractive offer in Australia with Honda. However, after many sleepless nights I decided my future was overseas. This year will be a learning curve for me overseas, as I haven’t ridden any of the tracks.”
“I am a bit nervous about going, but on the other hand really excited for the year ahead.”

The Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres Team also consists of Australian Andrew Pitt (Sports Director) who will have a big say in bike setup. Aiden will join the already established team that consists of Patrick Jacobsen (USA) and Lucas Mahias (France), both riders are front-runners with Jacobsen currently sitting second in the championship.
Joining the established Kawasaki Czech team will ensure Aiden has right environment and tools to perform at the highest level.
Aiden will also take his own mechanic in Ali Reid who worked with him for most of 2014.
The next round of World Supersport Championship is on the 10th May, 2015 at Imola in Italy.
