Ben Burke and Evan Byles in superbike
Paul Young is joined by promoted Kyle Buckley in Supersport
Ben Burke remains at SA Kawasaki BCperformance for another year and is joined by South Australian Evan Byles on Kawasaki ZX-10R machinery to contest the Superbike class. Fellow South Australian Supersport contender Paul Young returns after a few outings late last year and is joined by Kyle Buckley, having been promoted from the Ninja 300 ranks campaigning ZX-6R.
SA Kawasaki BCperformance Superbike line up of Orange resident Ben Burke and Adelaide born Evan Byles make for an exciting mix of youth and experience with Burke eager to get started on his second season on a superbike “I’m pleased to be staying with the team for a second term ‘says Burke “Last year was a steep learning curve for us and I am now keen to get back on the ZX10R and start a fresh with new machinery, thanks to the support of SA Motorcycles and Kawasaki Australia”
Byles, a former Dirt track champion and multiple sidecar champion will be making his debut in the Australasian Superbike Championship during 2015. The 2014 Adelaide 3 hour victor is also keen to get going “I am very excited to make the cut to be part of the SA Kawasaki BCperformance team for 2015. The team is organised and professional which increases my motivation to train harder, eat better and ride faster than ever before. The arrangements allow for me to fly in and out for the east coast events, saving me the usual bike preparation and road travel with bikes and gear, enabling me to spend more time training and running my Kawasaki dealership in Adelaide. With Kawasaki Motors Australia’s support we can ensure every chance for top results on the track this year”
Supersport pairing of Paul Young and Kyle Buckley also gives a mix of experience and youth to the SA Kawasaki BCperformance squad. The hugely experienced and multiple championship winner Young joined the team late last year to help with the development of the Kawasaki ZX6R and is happy to be able to keep the development going into the start of the 2015 season “Cannot wait to have a run out of the new SA Kawasaki BCperformance ZX6R at Phillip Island” says Young “It’s always a pleasure to ride at Phillip Island which is my favourite circuit and even better with such a great team”
Queenslander Buckley who finished a close runner up in the Kawasaki Ninja 300 cup last year gains a well-deserved promotion within the SA Kawasaki BCperformance team “So excited for 2015! Being given the opportunity to re-sign with the SA Kawasaki BCperformance team was what I was hoping for” says Buckley “after a successful year in the Ninja 300 cup I am looking forward to the next step in my career into the Supersport class. I am hoping to be able to fight for the podium from the start and it is satisfying knowing I will have the same team around me”
The SA Kawasaki BCperformance Superbike and Supersport teams have recently taken delivery of their 2015 bikes from Kawasaki Australia and are working around the clock to prepare them for planned tests before the first event at Phillip Island in just over a month’s time for the WSBK event.
Ninja 300 cup riders will be announced in the coming weeks.
In another boost to the team, Mahaffey Associates, the Sydney based construction specialists consultancy firm joins SA Kawasaki BCperformance as a sponsor for the 2015 season.
