Billy McConnell updates BSB 2016 plans
After departing with the Anvil Hire Yamaha Team just before season start I think that it was best for me and the team.
I personally think in Superbike it is really hard to get parts and develop the bike with a three rider team so decided to leave, we left on good terms and I’m still good friends with all at the Anvil Hire Yamaha Team and wish them all the best in the future.
As soon as news broke about me leaving Anvil Hire Yamaha,  FS3 rang me a couple of days later and I went for a meeting with them and a soon as I saw the whole set up, and met everyone in FS3, I knew then this was the right move and was very excited for it to happen, and to be apart of FS3.
The team are running the ex PBM motorcycles and spares, Shane Byrne’s competitive bikes, from last season.
I am the only rider in the team with everyone working for me.
We went into silverstone with no track time, we knew what we would be up against it but we did not plan on all practices being wet, and then dry for qualifying but during the races with every lap it was starting to feel like my bike.
We have tested before round two at Oulton park so fingers crossed I get it sorted and get on the pipe.
