Richard Cooper joins Lee Jackson at Buildbase BMW for 2016 MCE BSB
Nottingham’s Richard Cooper will complete the Buildbase BMW line-up in the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship for the forthcoming season, as the former Superstock 1000 title-winner rejoins the team alongside Lee Jackson.
The 32-year-old celebrated title success in the Superstock class in 2011 and has since been a podium finisher in both the Supersport and Superbike classes, ending last year’s MCE BSB season in eighth place and fighting for the Riders’ Cup before injury curtailed his campaign.
The team will also return to the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship to fight for the title with Taylor Mackenzie.

We made great progress in the time we had together in 2015 and I’m confident we can take this into the upcoming season. As soon as I came back to the team I felt at home immediately so sticking with them for 2016 seemed natural.”
