Deus R nineT. Project Deus / BMW Motorrad R nineT
BMW Motorrad and world-renowned custom motorcycle design house Deus Ex Machina have announced a partnership that will result in a stunning interpretation of the BMW R nineT.
The R nineT has captivated the motorcycle world since its release in late 2013, appealing not only to a wide range of motorcyclists but also to fans of design and style.
Many custom motorcycle builders have tailored the R nineT to their whims and Deus Ex Machina in Sydney has hit the design board, too. The Deus R nineT is still in the early stages but judging by Deus’ past builds, the end result will be mind blowing.
“We are looking at several concepts. We will blend BMW Motorrad history with a Deus design that is instantly recognised as belonging to both of us. The influence is to streamline yet emphasise the aggressive masculinity of the BMW R nineT.
“Deus will modify and fabricate the parts needed and produce a motorcycle that is both engaging to look at and ride,” said Deus Ex Machina General Manager, Ben Monroe.
For BMW Motorrad Australia Marketing Manager, Miles Davis, the Deus project is truly exciting.
“Deus has the ‘blank canvas’ and we wait with anticipation to see the finished motorcycle. We will update our Facebook page so everyone can stay posted throughout the evolution of the Deus R nineT,” said Davis.
Deus ex Machina Creative Director, Carby Tuckwell, said the arrival of the R nineT bridges the romance of tradition with modern usability.
“It’s a refreshing new platform for custom builders and we are eager to sharpen the pencils and get to work fettling this attractive machine,” Tuckwell said.
