Tally Ho! Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride hits the million dollar mark
Triumph Motorcycles has congratulated Mark Hawwa and the global Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride family on hitting the $1M dollar fundraising mark for the 2014 event.
Three days prior to the ride, which will take place in 254 cities around the world on the 28th September, supporters have raised over $1M to support research into prostate cancer.
The astounding achievement is a major milestone for the DGR and a credit to the organisers, volunteers and riders who are giving up their time to raise awareness of a disease that kills one man in six.
Founder Mark Hawwa comments “We’ve come a long way in a few short years. To think that on Sunday people will be riding in over 50 countries in support of the event and to fight prostate cancer makes me pretty proud. I’m continually astounded by the efforts that everyone goes to and look forward to a great ride on Sunday”.
Paul Stroud, Sales and Marketing Director for Triumph, who sponsor the event on a global basis, comments “What a fantastic achievement, and a hugely positive response from riders, pillions and fans of motorcycling around the world. We’re incredibly proud to support the DGR, and everything it stands for. Congratulations on a fantastic achievement – enjoy the ride on Sunday!”
