Ducati Owners Club of Vic Raffles Ducati 1198s for Red Cross Bush Fire Appeal
The Ducati Owners Club of Victoria (DOCV) has applied for a permit from the Victorian Gambling Commission, to allow the raffling of a 2009 model, 1198S Ducati Superbike.
The 1198S, which has been acclaimed by the world’s motorcycling press, is valued at $35,000. It will be delivered and registered anywhere in Australia or New Zealand by N.F. Importers, the Ducati importers for Australia & N.Z. “All the winner needs to do is ride it away” said Warren Lee, CEO of NFI “I am just glad we can do something to help.
“If the timing is right, we might even get Troy Bayliss to autograph it too!” said Warren.
There will be only 1500, tickets at a price of $100 each, allowing the raffle proceeds to raise some $120,000 for the Red Cross Bush Fire Appeal.
The DOCV has established a web page at www.docv.org/raffle where those interested in purchasing tickets can download an application form. The raffle organiser can be contacted via that site as well.
“The victims of this tragedy, as a community, are well known to Victorian motorcyclists. They have looked after us for many years and now it is time for us to do something in their time of need. The Ducati 1198S raffle will raise a good deal of money to assist this cause” said Stephen Frew, the raffle’s administrator and club president from 2003 – 2009.
So go to the DOCV website and get your application form now. Great odds to win one of the world’s great bikes and you have the knowledge that your money will assist The Red Cross in their Bush Fire Relief Appeal.
