Here is a video taken yesterday (April 29) at the Australian release of the CBR600RR. We did plenty of laps on the new machines and were also pleased to be able to ride Shannon Johnson’s Australian Supersport machine.
In this video Shannon Johnson, 2002 Australian Supersport Champion, takes you for a lap around the fast Phillip Island circuit onboard a standard CBR600RR on standard settings and road biased Pilot Sport tyres.
In front of him is Australian road racing legend Malcolm ‘Wally’ Campbell. Also on hand at the track was young Joshua Brookes and the not so young Wayne Gardner. Sharing the track with riders of this calibre is a pretty awesome experience, and more than a little bit humbling.
