Josh Hook celebrates first BSB points with Team WD-40
Josh Hook grabbed his first British Championship points for himself and Team WD-40 at Thruxton. Unfortunately his teammate Jack Kennedy had two DNF’s with a crash in the first race, and pulling in on the second.
Josh had never seen Thruxton before his arrival at the track on Thursday evening. Over the weekend his crew of Danny, Lee and Ashley made significant changes to the #16 Kawasaki ZX-10R as Josh’s times improved.
Starting well down the grid for both races Josh made good starts and started to push forward. In the first races a slight misjudgement on the last lap cost him a point but he did not make the same error in race two, fighting to 14th and his first points of the season.

“Getting my first British Superbike points for the Team was great at the weekend. I had just missed out in race 1 but made it happen in the 2nd race. The Team did an awesome job for me with the bike. Next stop is Brands Hatch another track I have not seen, but I am really looking forward to riding the Team WD-40 Z-X10R again.”

“What a weekend with The Stauff Connect Academy taking the lead in both the Riders and Team British Supersport Championship it is fantastic. There is still a very long way to go and we are battling other really good Teams and riders so we just have to keep working hard. We have 3 Supersport races at Brands a track Taz has done well at for us in the past so fingers crossed. The Team WD-40 Superbikes again shone bright with Josh riding as he did to get his first points. Brands Hatch GP is next, a track we like and everyone is looking forward to it.”
