Judd Greedy – Remembered
I recently put up an image of Judd Greedy on Facebook after being reminded that he would have turned 36 this week. The image and post gained a huge response. It was this scan of a print I had done of Judd a long time ago, when he was in the very early stages of his career.
When asked to sign it, true to his playful nature, he wrote, ‘To Trev, Hugs and Kisses xxx, Judd Greedy”. Â You can still see the faded pen at the bottom of this shot. Always a funny bugger…
Thus I had a trawl through some of the MCNews.com.au archives to put together this gallery featuring the loveable larrikin that was taken from us way too soon.
Unfortunately many are not in high resolution, as they are taken out of the site archives from the old server just as they were originally presented on MCNews.com.au back in the day, when bandwidth was much tighter, and screen resolutions much lower.
Judd was always the life of the paddock, and to say he was extremely well liked would be a bit of an understatement. Glenn Allerton even named his son after Judd.
Unfortunately Judd Greedy lost his life at Symmons Plains Raceway in 2009, crashing while leading the race at the Tasmanian circuit. He has been gone over seven years now, but he has certainly not been forgotten.
