Kevin Curtain to ride Aprilia at ASC FX Sydney Motorsport Park Finale
Kevin Curtain will return for the last round of the Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship aboard a Trinder brothers Aprilia RSV4 1000.
Despite Kevin not riding since announcing his retirement after the Wakefield Park season opener early in the year, he is now eager to get back in the saddle and compete in the final round of the Swann Superbike Series on November 23rd at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Kevin Curtain, “Im actually really looking forward to it, this will be the third brand I have ridden for the Trinder team, we have had a long relationship that stems right back to 2001.
“The Aprilia is very nice to ride, it turns & stops on a dime, kind of like a BMX bike on steroids.
“We have only put about 10 laps together due to weather, but I know it will be impressive at speed, we hope to get a couple of clear days on it before the meeting so we can tailor it to suite me, but so far, all very good.”
Team boss Steve Trinder is similarly enthused, “We are looking forward to seeing Kev on this bike as much as any race fan would, even the few laps he has cut on it looked impressive, he really is the master, it was like watching art on wheels.
“There is no pressure at all on him, this is the toughest field this championship has seen for many years, he’s been out of the seat for a while but he will do what he does best, ride the bike to its full potential”.
Kevin will compete in two classes, both his bikes, Superbike & Formula Oz/ProTwin Aprilia weapons will be for sale at the end of the race meeting.
