Mick Doohan at Glemseck ‘Sprint International’ 1/8th mile
Five-time 500cc MotoGP World Champion Mick Doohan was back in leathers recently at the Glemseck event in Germany.
Doohan was invited to take part in the 1/8th mile drag races aboard a very special CB1000R prepared by Honda Racing in the UK for the event.
Suspension from the latest Fireblade SP was transplanted onto the CB1000R chassis which also included a bespoke swingarm.
Brembo provided the braking hardware and Akrapovic the exhaust while Rizoma came to the party with their special brand of bling.
Unfortunately Mick was knocked out in the second round by Per Nielsen, who went on to take third overall.
