Mistral Kawasaki Field Team of Three for Pre-TT Classic Races
Mistral Kawasaki have been at the front in the Superbike Post Classic Race since it was introduced to the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Road Races in 2014, firstly with Dean Harrison in the saddle, followed by a one-two last year with Jamie Coward and Steve Mercer as the successful riders.
For the 2016 Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races, Mistral Kawasaki have entered a team of three riders, Jamie Coward, winner last year during which he established the first official 100mph lap of the Billown Course in the Pre-TT Classic, Jamie ultimately averaged the ton for the entire race with a penultimate lap of 102.033mph setting a new lap record
Steve Mercer who finished second, also managing to lap at over 100.00mph.
And Manxman, Dan Kneen, who is no stranger to the 4.25-mile Billown Course, hoping to maintain their domination of this very popular class which has attracted an entry of 39 riders.
Ian Harrison of Mistral Kawasaki
“Mistral Racing are looking forward to competing at the Pre-TT again, with our three riders.
“Having won the previous two years with Dean Harrison and Jamie Coward, a hat-trick would be nice, but we will face stiff competition with a bumper entry this year.
“The machines and riders are well up to the challenge and should make for some exciting racing.’
