Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals
Round 2 – Dubbo Speedway, Dubbo (NSW)
PERFECT SCORE FOR MOSS IN SX SUMMER NATIONALS
Delivering another string of scintillating performances, Team Shift Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss wrapped up the Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals Series with a perfect score after again winning all four Pro Lites races at Dubbo Speedway (NSW), last night.
Unbeaten in the series, jubilant Moss finished with the maximum 200 points available to win both the night and the Pro Lites summer series in front of a packed and appreciative crowd in Dubbo.
Woodstock Honda Thor racer, Craig Anderson took top honours for the series in the Pro Open class, while his teammate Daniel McCoy was the hero of the night winning three of four races to claim the Open class round victory.
The Supercross U19 victor Jarryd McNeil also took a clean sweep ahead of Brodie Hartin and Andrew Bird, as he won four from four action-packed races, with just one race from the opening round marring his shot at also taking home a perfect score sheet for the series.
Local hero, Motorex KTM’s Tye Simmonds was untouchable as he delivered a classy victory in the Supercross Junior Lites, but with only one round under his belt, Simmonds was unable to catch Dylan Gosling who won the series ahead of James Flanagan and Jake Ridley.
Geran Stapleton won the night in the Supercross 85-150cc (14-15yrs) while round one winner Luke Bond took out the series honours.
In the Supercross 85-150cc (12-13yrs) class, James Booth Elliott was the one to catch in all three races, while Luke Clout took the series win.
Featuring an action-packed event line-up including Supercross racing, Freestyle Motocross displays, show-stopping Monster Trucks and a dazzling fireworks finale, the Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals wowed an estimated 9,000 fans at the Dubbo Speedway.
MATT MOSS – TEAM SHIFT MOTUL SUZUKI
“Eight straight wins is pretty unbelievable; I’m so happy with myself and all of Team Shift Motul Suzuki.
“I’ve been training so hard on and off the bike so it’s good to see that it has paid off.
“The guys have put an awesome bike together, so 100% thanks to them; it’s been great.
“It’s good to have these sorts of races leading up to the motocross series, and Full Throttle Sports always put on a great event.
“We’re all racers and it’s good to have the chance get out there and race the competition, so I hope they keep running a summer series of Supercross each year.
“It’s really good to come to regional areas like Dubbo and give the crowd a chance to see what Supercross is all about, I’m hoping we can come back here again next year.”
