Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy visits VIC & WA

Motorcycling manufacturer KTM encourage correct training and safety technique when enjoying the sport of dirt bike riding for motocross, supercross, freestyle, supermoto and enduro.

Entering its second year in partnership, KTM Australia is once again teaming up with former multiple state and national motocross champion Glenn Macdonald, to run the Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy, providing a professional coaching program in the motorcycling industry for beginner to elite dirt bike riders across Victoria and Western Australia.

With over ten years coaching experience Glenn Macdonald a Level 2 Master Coach, and current race team manager for Motorex KTM factory juniors will be heading up the programs, with the support of highly accredited coaches.

The aim of the Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy will be to deliver the skill and techniques required to become a confident and safe rider both on and off the race track.

Schools and private sessions for entry level riders, plus intermediate to advanced riders will run over two to five days, catering for all ages and abilities of riders on mini bikes through to thumpers, with tuition at a maximum ratio of 15:1 and no more than 30 riders per day.

A typical day takes riders and their parents through appropriate riding gear, bike preparation, braking skills, throttle control, body positioning, jumps, starts and general technique. Coaches also discuss nutrition, training and safety.

All coaches involved in the Motocross Advanced Coaching Academy are accredited by the Australian Institute of Sport to assist riders explore their limits on starts, jumps, corners and passing techniques, in aim of advancing each individuals riding skills.
