Jack Miller ready for Sepang challenge
LCR Honda rider Jack Miller is hoping to build on his excellent performance last time out in Australia at this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.
Ahead of what is the 17th and penultimate round of the MotoGP world championship, the Australian is looking to sign off from the three flyaway races in style.
Miller made a home gound advantage count last week at Phillip Island as he finished in 15th place at Phillip Island, coming home as the top Open class rider.
Now the 20-year-old is determined to continue in the same vein with another strong performance in Malaysia at a circuit where he finished second in the Moto3 class last year.
Jack Miller –Â “I’m really looking forward to this weekend coming off last weekend’s good result at Phillip Island. I am hoping to build on our momentum, but first we must make sure we get the bike set up well for this circuit.
“It’s a track I have ridden before in the past (in the Moto3 class), but of course my style was a lot different then so we must adapt. But it should be a very interesting weekend and I look forward to it.”
Jack Miller is currently the leading Open category Honda rider in MotoGP ahead of Nicky Hayden and Eugene Laverty. Â Hector Barbera (Ducati) leads the open category overall with 30-points ahead of Loriz Baz (Yamaha) on 28-points, Miller is currently third on 17-points.
