Stocks of 2014 Husqvarna four- and two-stroke models are currently being wheeled onto the floors of a new-look dealer network around Australia, as part of the worldwide re-launch of the most iconic brand in dirt bike racing.
The world’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer with uninterrupted production, Husqvarna is a brand steeped in tradition.
The brand’s 110 years of motorcycle production includes the most glorious era in off road motorcycle sport – the boom and heyday of dirt bike sport and racing in the 1960s and 1970s.
During this halcyon period, Husqvarna didn’t just participate, it led the way, accumulating 14 motocross and 24 enduro World Championships, as well as 11 Baja 1000 titles.
The 2014 Husky models are a milestone for the brand in Australia; an amalgamation of new technology and traditional colours, which promises a renewed energy for the long-time faithful or just those to whom the brand means something – like Jeff Leisk, General Manager of HQVA Pty. Ltd.
Jeff Leisk: “I can remember when dad used to race a Husqvarna and recall the days when Husqvarna was the leading brand in motocross in the world and also here in Australia. So in re-launching the brand here and around the world we’re not forgetting the history and the heritage behind the brand, but rather tapping into and living it and breathing it – that’s what we’re all about.
“As one of the pioneers of motocross Husqvarna has gone back to its roots with the Ice 1 MX GP team that features our own Todd Waters, as well as Jacky Martens’ MX2 team which is all very positive.
“Here in our dealerships we have a top product that’s all about build quality and aimed at the premium end of the market in terms of its specs.
“Any discerning motorcycle rider will appreciate the performance, handling and quality, and certainly the feedback on the appearance of the bikes has been exceptional.
“Importantly though, we want to be sure to offer the best possible service and backup, and that comes down to training. Our dealers are already skilled up and up to speed on all the technical aspects of the new bikes, so we’re in a position to offer quality bike set up and service. We know we’ve got a fantastic product and we want to make sure we can offer a complete package that includes Husky Power accessories for taking your bike to the next level along with the Husky Style clothing range that focuses on both lifestyle and technical wear, so our customers can indulge themselves in the culture of the brand.”
