• Marc Marquez starts from pole for the sixth time in 2015 and for the third successive year at the British Grand Prix.
• In second place on the grid is Jorge Lorenzo, who has won the MotoGP race at Silverstone three times in the last five years. Lorenzo has led across the line on every lap in each of his five MotoGP wins in 2015.

• Scott Redding heads up the third row – his best qualifying result since he was in sixth place on the grid in Austin.
• Cal Crutchlow has qualified in the middle of the third row to make it the first time since the British Grand Prix in 1987 at Donington that three British riders have qualified in the top eight place for a premier-class grand prix.
• The highest placed Ducati rider in qualifying is Andrea Iannone who is in ninth place on the grid. Iannone has been the first Ducati rider across the line at the last six MotoGP races.
