Guy Martin (Tyco BMW) won the 2015 edition of the Southern 100 with a start-to-finish victory over Dan Kneen (Padgett’s Honda) with Ivan Lintin (RC Express Kawasaki) rounding out the podium.
Martin’s victory margin was a slender 0.7 of a second at the end of the nine laps and it was second placed Kneen that set the fastest lap of the feature race, a 112.962mph scorcher on the Fireblade.
Michael Dunlop’s season 2015 did not get any better at the Southern 100 with a crash in the main feature race spoiling his week. Dunlop showed that he still has heady pace however with victory in the earlier Wednesday race and set the fastest lap of the week on a new 2015 Superstock spec’ BMW S 1000 RR with a 113.512mph scorcher.
