Suzuki celebrates first international Boulevard meet in Australia
Suzuki Motorcycles and one of its Brisbane dealerships, Springwood Suzuki, recently organised a meet of Boulevard riders in Australia, the very first of its kind here.
The Australian Boulevard meet follows similar gatherings in Las Vegas that were organised by Australian Boulevard enthusiast Rick Bamford.
Almost 150 Boulevard fans, including guests from Canada and the USA, gathered at the Springwood Suzuki dealership to share their passion about Suzuki’s iconic cruiser range.
Following a traditional Aussie barbecue, over 90 bikes set off to cruise through the Gold Coast hinterland.
One of the highlights of the meet were the Boulevard Awards given to the best presented bikes, the rider who travelled the longest distance to the meet and overall best bike.
“It was a fantastic event, we couldn’t believe how many people turned up to the meet, and we were thrilled that we had guests from overseas as well,” said Rick Bamford, one of the organisers.
“We all sort of know each other from a website where we exchange our opinions and latest news about the Boulevard range, but it’s always great to meet in person.”
“Especially after our first two meets in the US, it was fantastic to finally organise a meet here in Australia too. We hope to make it an annual event.”
Suzuki is constantly developing its Boulevard range, providing riders with power cruisers that deliver ultimate comfort, raw power and head turning good looks, with two distinct styles, muscular and classic.
“It’s great to see so much enthusiasm around our iconic Boulevard range in Australia as well as overseas,” said Perry Morison, General Manager Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia.
“The Suzuki Boulevard range not only looks good, but performs exceptionally well also These are only just some of the reasons as to why our cruisers have such a passionate, worldwide following.”
