Tom Bramich to race British Motostar race at Thruxton
Team Repli-Cast UK Racing will be joined at this weekend’s HEL Performance Motostar Championship event at Thruxton by Australian Moto3 Champion Tom Bramich as their wild card rider, alongside Max Cook.
Tom lives in Beaconsfield, Victoria, and is 19 years of age, and is currently half way through studying environmental science at Monash University.
Bramich started racing in 2012 under the guidance and support of Ron Angel and Rod Tingate. Road racing on a CBR150 in the local championships, winning the state and club championships in his first year of racing. The following year he raced a Ninja 250 production in the Australian Championship, ending the year 3rd overall. 2014 was quiet for Tom on the racing front, due to him being fully committed to his final year of school, only riding where and when he could, around his school work.
2015 was the most successful year in Tom’s journey so far, competing in the Australian Moto3 Championship. Over five rounds across Australia, he clinched the title in the final race of the final round at Phillip Island, one of the main highlights of Tom’s life.

“I’m very much looking forward to riding with Team Repli-Cast UK Racing at the thruxton BSB round next weekend.  I’ve always wanted to experience a different championship and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the BSB is all about. I’m not too sure what to expect in the upcoming round, but my main goal is to enjoy riding in the Motostar Moto3 class and to gain some more experience. A big thank you to Gary and the team for giving me this opportunity, and I can’t wait to get out there.”
Gary Dawson – Team Manager/Owner
“We look forward to Tom joining Max on the grid at Thruxton and being 19 years old he brings a bit of maturity into the class too. We were chuffed when we were recommended by Shaun Ryde (Kyles Dad) and BJ Currie a very close mate of Tom’s and assure him our best attention at all time. It’s certainly a long way to come and as the Australian Moto 3 Champion says “we don’t come here to f— Spiders lol.” It’s going to be a great weekend with both our bikes out there again and I personally thank everyone that makes this happen.”
