Jules Cluzel continues to set World Supersport pace on MV Agusta F3 675
Frenchman Jules Cluzel continued to set the World Supersport pace at the Phillip Island season opener this morning. The MV Agusta F3 675 rider put in a 1m33.306 this morning but failed to beat his 1m33.305 from yesterday afternoon’s FP2 session.
Briton Kyle Smith was second quickest this morning on the Pata Honda CBR600RR but Turk Kenan Sofuoglu is second fastest on combined times, his 1m33.326 during Friday morning’s FP1 session still good enough for second overall.
Australian wildcard entry Aiden Wagner was ninth this morning with a 1m34.392 but on combined times slips to a still highly creditable 12th overall.
AARK Honda rider Glen Scott continues his re-adapation to Supersport machinery and improved this morning to a 1m35.641 and is ranked 19th just ahead of compatriot Alex Phillis who also set his fastest time of the weekend during this morning’s session, a 1m35.698 to the Victorian who was a last-minute draft in to by Team Lorini. Sam Lambert brought up the tail end of the field on the only Triumph in the field but is improving and set his best time of 1m37.880 this morning.
World Supersport qualifying is scheduled to run for 45-minutes from 1555 this afternoon.
